3D Exterior Rendering Price / Cost: How much does an exterior rendering cost? A very common question! We do offer 3D exterior renderings at unbeatable lowest / low cost prices (rendering outside of houses and buildings). We use 3ds Max and V-Ray software to create photorealistic and detailed 3D exterior design renders. In this process, 2D elevations are used to convert into 3D exterior renderings. For example, the 2D front elevation will be converted into a 3D front exterior design rendering.

Pricing Difference (Our Pricing Vs Competitors)
How to decide the price or cost for 3D exterior renderings?
Generally, an architect file (a 2D file with 2D elevations and 2D floor plans) has four 2D elevations. These 2D elevations are front elevation, rear elevation, west elevation, and east elevation. In some cases, there are additional elevations (mostly the corner angle elevations), like the SouthWest elevation, and NorthEast elevation. In the industry, you will find prices around $300 to $2500+ per 3D rendering view (for example, $300 to $2,500 for a 3D FRONT exterior rendering). Generally, the price starts from $300 and it may go up to $2,500 or much higher than $2,500 (it depends on the size of the house or building).
But, our pricing starts from $149 per 3D exterior view. For example, for front elevation, $149 price for a 3D exterior rendering view. As the size of a house or building increases, the cost / fee will increase based on the effort and time required. Below is the pricing sheet / guide for 3D exterior rendering (different sizes of exteriors and their pricing estimate). Our pricing is unbeatable, the lowest and fixed price, even without lowering the quality.

How much does a 3D exterior rendering of a house cost?
Multiple Angle Views for 3D Exterior Design Rendering
Generally, there are four (4) views or elevations in a house or building. These are as follows:
- Front Elevation
- Rear Elevation
- Left Elevation
- Right Elevation
Based on the 2D elevations, 3D exterior rendering views are created. Mostly, clients need 3D front exteriors. Only a few clients need all 4 sides’ 3D exterior rendering views.
Angle Views can be more (no limit)
There can be more than 4 2D elevations (there is no limit; you can have as many views as you want to have). Here you can the below image, showing 8 angled views of a house.
How pricing will work if someone needs all possible 3D exterior design views (not only the front view)?
Case 1: There is a small-size house and it has Four (4) 2D elevations in the 2D file. West, East, North, and South elevation. In this case, it will cost $149 for each view, as all 4 sides are different from each other.
Case 2: There is a small-size house and it has Eight (8) 2D elevations in the 2D file. West, East, North, South elevation and four corner elevations like NorthWest elevation, SouthEast Elevation, WestSouth Elevation, and East North Elevation. In this case, there will be a total of 3D exterior rendering views.
- One 3D exterior view for West Elevation
- One 3D exterior view for East Elevation
- One 3D exterior view for North Elevation
- One 3D exterior view for South Elevation
- One 3D exterior view for NorthWest Elevation
- One 3D exterior view for SouthEast Elevation
- One 3D exterior view for WestSouth Elevation
- One 3D exterior view for EastNorth Elevation
Here you can simply compare that, if the corner 3D exterior views are needed, then the pricing will be much lower. Because four sides elevations are already created from scratch and corner elevation will be based on any two sides. But, if you do not need 4 side elevations and just need 4 corner elevations, then the pricing will be $149 per view. Because, in that case, we need to create 3D exterior rendering views from scratch.
How much it will cost for a 3D exterior render if a client needs an additional version with a different color theme?
For the original version, it will cost you $149 (where we always offer free revisions on the original requirement); but later if a client wants to have another additional version with different colors or finishes, then it will cost $39 for the additional version.
Here, in the below image, you can see an example of a 3D front exterior rendering with two different color themes.
Can I get different 3D exterior renderings with different colors/ finishes?
Yes, obviously. Here we are sharing the details of a project where we created different 3D exterior renderings with different colors and finishes. It is a combined view of two side elevations. We have created a total of Six versions for this 3D exterior. The total cost was $344 ($299 for the original version and $9 for each additional version).
One Orignal Version + 5 Additional Versions (with different colors/finishes)
Here is a Project Example:
3D exterior rendering with “Custom Colors/Finishes”
Client Requirement:
One 3D exterior view is needed. It should be the combined view of the Front elevation and Side Elevation. Custom Colors/Finishes Instructions: Metal roof (metal coloring) cashmere white house color brown trim. Brown trim windows (Window frames are supposed to be brown with white casing), Garage doors brown, porch ceilings brown; Two cars in the driveway. This is a townhouse, I would like to show the separation of driveways with greenery. The pickets on the front porches should be vertical and white. Please add brown ceiling fans under the porches.
This is what we have created:
How do we decide the price for a 3D exterior rendering?
Well, it generally depends upon five factors. Time, Complexity of the Requirement, Number of additional Versions required, Number of rendering images you need (at different angles), and Software (Low-quality rendering vs High-quality rendering).
Time
How does time impact 3D exterior rendering cost? In the early days of 3D rendering technology, a single 3D image could take days or weeks to generate. Today, with more powerful computers and better software, a single image can be rendered in a matter of hours. This is why the pricing that we are offering is much lesser what we were offering 5 years ago. But, still, the total time required is always the deciding factor of a project.
Complexity
The cost of 3D exterior rendering services will vary depending on the complexity of the project, the number of images to be generated, and the time frame in which the project must be completed. The rendering outside of house cost is directly impacted by the complexity of the project. The more complex the project, the higher the cost will be. This is because more time and effort are required to create a complex 3D exterior rendering.
Number of Additional Versions
In some projects, there is a need for different versions with different colors and finishes. For example, the client has a requirement for 3D exterior views where he/she needs a total of three versions for three different color schemes. Here you can check an example showing 5 additional versions with different colors, textures, and finishes.
Number of Rendering Images you need (at Different Angles)
In some projects, client needs rendered images at different angles. For example, for a house, there are Four (4) 2D elevations in the CAD file, i.e. Front, Rear, Left, and Right elevations. So, generally, there are four 3D exterior rendering views are needed. But, in some cases, the client also has four more views, where he/she needs a corner angle view (a combined view of two sides i.e. front elevation and Left side elevation to be seen in the combined corner angled 3D rendering house exterior view). You can see the example below.
Sometimes, multiple-angle views are needed from the front side. For example, AXOM view, View from Drive, View from Entry, and Upper Angle view. Here you can check an example showing 8 2D elevations, these all 8 views can be created as 3D exterior views.
Software (Low-quality rendering vs High-quality rendering)
It is very important to see whether you need low-quality rendering or high-quality rendering. Low-quality rendering means less detailed, basic finishes/textures, and very far from realism. High-quality rendering means very detailed, all possible finishes/ textures, and very close to realism (photorealistic).
Here we are sharing two images, first image is having 3 samples of low-quality rendering exterior views. These 3 exteriors have been created using SketchUp and V-Ray software. The second image has 3 samples of High-quality rendering exterior views. For High-quality rendering, we have used 3dsMax and V-Ray software. 3dsMax is the most advanced software where we can do advanced levels of detail. It takes more time and effort compared to SketchUp. But, the final rendered image with 3dsMax + Vray will always be perfect rendering with photorealistic quality.
When it comes to time and effort required for creating High-quality rendering, then it is simply 1.5x or 2x more than the low-quality rendering.
What are the Factors Affecting the Pricing of 3D Exterior Rendering?
There are several factors that can affect the pricing of a 3D exterior rendering, including:
The complexity of the project
The more complex the design and details of the building, the more time and resources it will take to create the rendering, resulting in a higher cost.
Quality of the rendering
The level of detail and realism desired in the final rendering can also affect the cost. A higher level of quality will require more time and resources, resulting in a higher cost.
Software and hardware used
Different software and hardware have varying capabilities and costs associated with them, which can affect the overall cost of rendering.
Size and duration of the project
A larger or more time-consuming project will require more resources and result in a higher cost.
Experience and expertise of the artist
An experienced and highly skilled artist will likely charge more for their services than a less experienced one.
Region or location of the artist
The cost of living and wages in different regions can affect the overall cost of the rendering.
Client’s budget
The client’s budget is also a factor that affects the pricing of the 3D exterior rendering.
